Announcement:

In the upcoming weeks the Church of eastern South Dakota will be carrying out a diocesan wide appeal for Seminarian Education Thanksgiving Appeal .  Today, there are 24 men studying for the priesthood for the church of eastern South Dakota.  This education and formation is challenging, lengthy and expensive.  Upcoming weeks we will be asked to prayerfully consider a gift to the seminarian education fund.

Thanksgiving Weekend
November 24-25, 2007

Announcement:

This week you received a letter and pledge card from Bishop Paul J. Swain in regards to our Seminarians Education Appeal.  Please take time to consider a gift to this appeal for the on-going education of our 24 diocesan seminarians.  We would ask that you bring your gift back to the parish and place in the offertory. Or simply place the envelop in the mail

Option 1: This week you will be receiving a brochure from Bishop Paul J. Swain regarding the Seminarian Education Thanksgiving Appeal.  Please take some time to review the materials and prayerfully consider a gift to the diocesan effort.  Our diocese has been blessed with a large number of seminarians with this blessing comes the responsibility to their formation.  Please consider a gift.

Today we would like to thank you for your gift to the Seminarian Education Appeal.

Our diocese has been blessed with 24 seminarians who through God’s will and grace may minister to the Church of eastern South Dakota. Thank you.

Thank you again for your gifts to the Seminarian Education Appeal. We will be forwarding our parish gifts this week to the diocesan offices.  If you have not yet offered a gift to the appeal please consider doing so and simply leave your gift in the parish collection. If you need another pledge card please contact the parish office.

Thank you to those who were able to return your gift to the Seminarian Education Appeal today.  The Church of eastern South Dakota has been blessed and challenged to meet the need of educating our future priests.  The Church must be dedicated to providing training and formation to those who will be shepherds of our parishes for years to come. We hope that you will consider a gift to the Seminarian Education Appeal and return it to the parish next week.
